TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sports Connect mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Sports Connect Service” or “App”). Sports Connect is owned and operated by Triple M.T (PTY) Ltd.
By downloading, installing, accessing, registering for, or using Sports Connect, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and the Sports Connect Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Eligibility and Registration
Users must provide accurate, current, and lawful information when creating or maintaining an account. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• You must not create an account using a false identity or information.
• You must not create or use an account on behalf of another person without authorization.
• You must not sell, rent, transfer, or give away your account.
• You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.
• You must promptly notify Sports Connect if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Use of the Sports Connect Service
Sports Connect provides a platform for social and grassroots sports communities, including features that may include:
• Team registration and management;
• Player and team profiles;
• Fixtures, results, standings, and tournaments;
• Sports-related communication and social features;
• Account verification and authentication;
• Notifications and other services made available through the App.
Features may change, be added, suspended, or discontinued as Sports Connect develops the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Sports Connect lawfully and responsibly. You must not:
• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or misleading purposes;
• Upload or transmit content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users;
• Transmit spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or misleading communications;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to Sports Connect systems;
• Use bots, hacks, exploits, malware, automation, or unauthorized third-party software to interfere with the App;
• Disrupt, overload, or interfere with the normal operation or security of the App;
• Collect or publish another person's private or sensitive information without lawful authorization;
• Impersonate another person, organization, or Sports Connect representative.
5. User Content
“User Content” means information, text, images, communications, team information, profile information, and other material submitted or transmitted through Sports Connect.
You are responsible for the User Content you submit. By submitting User Content, you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it and that it does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person or entity.
Sports Connect may remove, restrict, or disable access to User Content that it reasonably believes violates these Terms, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of the Service.
6. Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your password, verification codes, and other account credentials confidential. Do not share one-time passwords (OTPs) or authentication codes with other people. Sports Connect may use SMS or other verification methods to protect accounts and verify users.
7. SMS, Two-Factor Authentication and Messaging Terms
Where available, Sports Connect may send SMS messages to users who provide a mobile telephone number and request or consent to SMS services. SMS messages may include account verification codes, one-time passwords, two-factor authentication messages, security alerts, and other service-related communications requested by the user.
For two-factor authentication and verification, users initiate the verification request within Sports Connect and receive a one-time code at the mobile number they provide.
Message frequency varies depending on account activity and the services requested by the user. Message and data rates may apply.
Sports Connect does not sell, rent, lease, or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, messaging consent information, or text messaging originator opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information and messaging consent may be disclosed to telecommunications, messaging, authentication, hosting, security, or technology service providers only as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, or support the requested Sports Connect service, or where required or permitted by law. Such providers are not authorized by Sports Connect to use this information for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.
Users may contact Sports Connect at sportsconnectbw@gmail.com regarding SMS communications, mobile information, or applicable consent. For essential account verification or security messages, opting out may prevent Sports Connect from completing the requested verification or providing the associated service.
8. Privacy
Sports Connect processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, how it is protected, and the choices and rights available to users.
The Sports Connect Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Third-Party Services
Sports Connect may use third-party service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, messaging, payments, analytics, security, and other technical services. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Where applicable, users should review those policies.
10. Fees, Subscriptions and Payments
Where Sports Connect offers paid subscriptions, registrations, advertising, or other paid services, applicable prices and payment terms will be presented to users before purchase.
Users are responsible for applicable fees and taxes associated with purchases made through their account. Sports Connect may change prices or paid features, subject to applicable law and any terms presented at the time of purchase.
11. Intellectual Property
The Sports Connect Service, including its software, branding, logos, designs, graphics, text, features, and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Triple M.T (PTY) Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted by Sports Connect or applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, sell, license, or otherwise exploit the App or its proprietary materials.
12. Suspension and Termination
Sports Connect may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or access to the Service where it reasonably believes that a user has violated these Terms, applicable law, or the security or integrity of the Service.
Sports Connect may also take appropriate action to protect users, the Service, or third parties from fraud, abuse, security threats, or other harmful activity.
Users may stop using the Service and may request account and associated data deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Service Availability
Sports Connect is provided on an evolving basis. The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, network interruptions, security events, or circumstances outside Sports Connect's reasonable control.
14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sports Connect is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar losses arising from use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, profits, or business interruption.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
Sports Connect may update these Terms from time to time by publishing an updated version through the App or on the Sports Connect website. Where required by applicable law, users will be notified of material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
16. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Sports Connect account and associated personal data by contacting sportsconnectbw@gmail.com. Please include “DELETE ACCOUNT AND DATA” in the subject line and provide sufficient information for Sports Connect to identify the account.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or protect the security of the Service.
